Bow fishing is were you use a bow to shoot a fish and there is a reel on the bow to reel the fish in. Bow fishing is expensive because you might get caught up on something with the arrow and lose your arrow. If you lose a arrow with the safety slide and the tip you'll be putting out some more money to get another one and there not cheap.
When buying a bow for bow fishing you need to get a bow that is easy for you to pull back very quickly and a draw length that fits you. It might take some time to pick out one but take your time and buy one you wont. You need a good reel to, I suggest an ams retriever series because there are no drag and fits you're bow and hand better. But there are different reels like a muzzy reel or a Cajun reel they all do the same but in my opinion ams is the best kind to get, but it does cost a bit more so but put money in to it and get a good one. How to bow fish is a little hard but easy to learn. You need to have someone that nows how to

When hunting you need many things but two very important thing is your orange card and hunting licence. It takes awhile to get your orange card but there's different ways to get it. One way is to do the online test that's how i got mine it is very easy and simple. All you have to do is create an account on the course then take the quizzes and then just sign up for a range day that is closest to you which I went to shooters supply but there's many places to go. But you don't have to take it online you can go to different places.
When getting your hunting licence you can get it at many hunting and fishing stores or even Walmart. But you need to now how old you need to be and if you need one. Resident and nonresident children under the age of 16 may fish without a license. Resident and nonresident hunters under the age of 12 are not required to purchase hunting license or permits. Turkey season in KY has different areas to hunt with for example archery, crossbow, and shotgun. I'm more than likely going to use my shotgun but I might use my crossbow if it is in season and i wont to go. Using my shotgun will be easier to carry around threw the woods and will be easier to load instead of pulling back 185 pound draw weight on my crossbow.
Crossbow hunting is more challenging then shotgun hunting for turkeys but they all do the job. But when calling them you can use a box call or a diaphragm call that you put in your mouth and there can be many reeds to just one to three or four. They might have a different shape reed on each one to make it sound more rascbey. But when I use my shotgun I use a turkey/extra full choke and a sertaint kind of shell. I use a 2 oz 3 to 4 shot 3 in Winchester shell. I shoot a couple shells at a target and see how my gun is pattering and see if it is ready. If it is pattering good and then ill get all my things to geather and get well camo and get were nothing can see me and get ready to shoot. Hope this will help y'all when y'all go hunting. To now what to use and the best thing to hunt with and the calls to hunt with. Give me some advise on how to make my posts better and more things to talk about. When squirrel hunting most people use a shotgun or 22. I prefer to use a 12 gauge shotgun because if you use the wright choke you could shoot at a running squirrel or he's just sitting there you can shoot from anywhere. But if i was just hunting rabbits I would use a 410 shotgun because you could shoot faster at it if he was running.I don't use a 22 for hunting squirrel or rabbits just because it won't be effective if they were running or moving fast and you have to have a good eye and be quit.
I use a dog for rabbit hunting some people don't its all up to you. If there is a lot of thick brush you might need a dog. I use my dog for a lot of hunting I use him for squirrel hunting too. If i go deer hunting and I shoot and cant find the deer ill bring him over there and if the deer is around there he will find it and I will know. There are many ways to hunt for squirrel and rabbits you can scare them to come out or just wait for them to come out and you see them. You can use a dog or just go with a friend there's many ways. There's different guns to use like shotguns or 22's they all have there purpose just some is more better for different types of hunting. Hunters need to know the dangers of handling a firearm. You need to aspire a goal in how you are going to work with guns. For example i went clay pigeon shooting for the first time this weekend and the people there showed me what i needed to no like don"t load the gun till your ready to shoot. There was different games for us to shoot but before i could i had to practice and learn all of the safety.
You needed to wear ear plugs and keep the safety on till you fire. If you don't it could lead in serious injury or death. When shooting at the clay pigeons from far away you need to leed on them that means aim in front of the object and never quit swinging the gun until you don't fire no more. And then put the gun on safety and check to see if the gun is unloaded by pumping the gun or, if you have a semi-auto shotgun by pulling the charging handle back and leaving it pulled back. The ideal shot size to use is 7 1/2 or 8 shot and the the best gun to use is a over and under but i don't use that type of shotgun i use a semi-automatic, a Stoeger m3500. Its more of There is many different guns, calibers, and bows/crossbows. Rifle season comes in on November 12-27 bow season comes in on Sep 3 to Jan 16. Crossbow season is on Oct 1-16 and on nov.12-dec.31 .Muzeloader Oct 15-16 and Dec 10-18 youth-free is on Dec 31 and Jan 1. Youth-only is on Oct 8 and 9.You need to know the seasons because if you hunt with out licenses or your orange card and the wrong season you could get in trouble. Crossbow hunting for deerThis is my first season hunting with a crossbow theres are many things to think while hunting. First you need to know your crossbow like how much weight it is set at and what bolts to use and broad heads. The broad head im using is a toxic broad head. It works well with my crossbow it is 100 grains. The other broad head i use is just a 100 grain fixed blade broad head.
